BQ27220: Using Bq27220 without GPC calculator

Hi we are using  Bq27220, as per my understanding  we need  to update CEDV coefficients, for that, we need to submit 6  log files at a different temperature which is time to consume for us as our battery capacity is too much. Please let me know if we can use  gauge by just updating required parameters. Also,  please  how it will impact performance  of gauge if we are not doing process for  updating CEDV  coefficients

    Hi,

    You may either use the preloaded (default) parameters or you may use the GPC calculators and submit 6 log files etc. The gauge will work regardless if you have the correct parameters or not, but the performance and accuracy will suffer if the correct CEDV coefficients aren't updated.

    If this process seems too lengthy to perform, I'd suggest using one of our IT (Impedance Track) gauges, as they have better accuracy and require only 1 charge/discharge log for the GPC calculator to obtain the correct parameter.
