Hi team,

I have question about TPS2373-4EVM-758.

1. How to design current sharing? and how to avoid the situation has occurred?
Looks new standard use 4 pair (two port ) deliver high power. as I know current sharing will be dependent on cable, connector and POE transformer impedance and diode drops.

2. Could you provide Layout file of TPS2373-4EVM-758 by mail? since I plan to re-layout for our PCB board.

    Hi Duke,

    1. Current balance has been heavily discussed and characterized by the IEEE committee since it is only a single cable (4-pair). Therefore the standard’s specs have been chosen to accommodate such unbalance. Therefore there is no specific external circuitry or active sharing that is needed for the PD design. In addition, there is only one PD and one converter. For current sharing you will need two PDs and two converters (PMP5236).
