BQ24195: Can OTG pin be pulled up to REGN pin?

Hi Team,

Can OTG pin be pulled up to REGN pin through 10kOhm when 500mA of input current limit (D+/D- detection) is desired?

My customer doesn't use boost mode in this case.

  • Hello Yaita-san,

I recommend tying the pull-up to SYS instead of REGN. This way, if no VBUS is present, the OTG pin will be high by BAT via SYS and once VBUS is applied, it will remain high during D+/D- detection.

REGN would be low without VBUS and you would need the OTG pin high prior to VBUS detection to ensure the correct state of the device.

    Thank you.
