BQ4050EVM-561: After changing battery, it need wake-up?

Hi TI'ers,

I have some doubts about BQ4050EVM. After I change battery, the pack pin cannot output voltage automatically. Only press down the wake-up switch, 5.2 seconds later, the pack pin can output normally, the step is necessary? Can i adjust the time of 5.2s?

You do have to apply a charging voltage to the PACK pin to wake the device from shutdown after cells have been attached. It does not normally take 5s. One second should be sufficient, if that cell voltages are in a good range.
