BQ25890: bq25890 1.5A obtained on DCP

HI

My customer is testing the bq25890evm.

He shorted the D+ D- pins to simulate a DCP connection. On R19, he shorted the trim pot to 0.

Per our understanding, he should get around 3A lim but is only getting 1.5A drawn from the supply.

Is there any area we can zoom in to get the desired 3A from the EVB?

    Hello,

    What's the value of the ILIM resistor? The input current limit is the lowest between the I2C register and the ILIM pin, this means that if the ILIM resistor sets the current limit to 1.5A, that will be the input current limit even if the D+/D- detection results in a 3.25A DCP limit.
