BQ24298: May USB-TO-GPIO adapter be used with BQStudio instead of EV2400?

Hi,

I'd like to know if EV2400 may be replaced by USB-TO-GPIO adapter http://www.ti.com/tool/USB-TO-GPIO?keyMatch=USB-TO-GPIO&tisearch=Search-EN-Everything, as test pad of BQStudio.

Hello Newton,

Unfortunately, bqStudio only supports EV2300/2400. The USB-TO-GPIO tool was the interface used for a legacy platform; each family of devices had it's own GUI. Newer devices were moved to bqStudio for support.

You may try downloading the bq2429x GUI and try to interface with the device using the USB-TO-GPIO tool, but it may not work, at which point bqStudio will be the platform to use.
