BQ24103A: Improving efficiency at low current

Part Number: BQ24103A

I am currently using the BQ24103A on a pcb board to charge a 2-cell lithium polymer battery from a 9.5V input. I have noticed that when the charger is running at low current (below 100mA) the efficiency drops dramatically ((to about 60%-70%).

There are times when I want the board to be in a low power mode while charging which keeps the charger in a low current state. Is there a way to help mitigate the efficiency losses at low current?
