Hi Team,
I want to know how the over current protection works. In case of a temporary over current event (800mA for 5ms), will the device heat up?
Or is it more like an internal switch, so no energy will be burned in the device?
Thanks

Hi Christian,
When an over current event occurs, the current limit for TPS7B4253-Q1 will engage. The current limit will reduce the output current; however, sustained over current events (or operating in current for sustained periods of time) can trigger thermal shutdown and effect the device reliability.
Very Respectfully,
Ryan
