Part Number: LP8860-Q1EVM
Hi Greeting!
I'm using the LP8860-Q1 EVM to demo the brightness control for each 4 LED string current (OUT1 to OUT4).
May I know how could control it with evaluation kit?
Thanks again.

Hi Kay,
Here are some simple steps to get the LP8860-Q1 EVM up and running:
1. Connect USB cable between EVM and PC (Light on EVM should turn on)
2. Provide VDD supply 3.3V - 5V labeled Rail in EVM board.
3. Provide Vbatt supply at VBATT connector 12V.
3. Open LP8860 GUI
4. Enable device by selecting 'High Enable' on Pin Control Tab and select appropriate Interface (SPI or I2C)
5. Check on lower left side corner of GUI for USB-Ok (This will indicate interface communication is properly established)
6. Do a Read EEPROM and Read Registers sequence under Operation option - This will upload EEPROM values into all the tabs so you can check settings for all registers.
7. Increase brightness level with Display/Cluster 1 slider. This should turn on your LEDs.
Note - Step 7 is assuming Brightness register control is selected for Display Brightness Mode. You can check this under the LED drivers tab. If PIN input control is selected instead, then provide PWM signal either externally or by enabling PWM generator under Pin Control tab.
Please also refer to User Guide for more details.
Hope this helps,
Salome
