BQ34Z100-G1: Usage of Ra tables for periodical battery-pack manufacturer lot revision

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO,

Hello,

We are planning to use a reference Ra table, which we consider ideal and was obtained from an initial battery-pack batch after a whole learning cycle via the bq34z100-g1 and BQstudio, to verify manufacturing stability on future battery-pack batches. We would execute a whole learning cycle with the same procedure used with the first batch.

Could this way the result be considered consistent and representative?

Are Ra tables stable to such an extent?

Thanks in advance

  • Iker,

I am not quite sure as to what you are asking, so here are some comments.

The default Ra tables provided with the ChemID should be close for a 1P configuration,  but the pack should be optimized for the best performance. You will need to run the optimization cycle and it will update Qmax and the Ra tables. You can then create a golden file from this data and use it in production. Of course, Qmax and the Ra tables will be different for each set of cells, but they should be close to the golden file values and they will get updated as the pack is used.
