BQ24195: efficiency data of Figure 1.

Hi Team,

I would like to ask about Figure 1. of datasheet.

1)
Could you tell me the condition (schematic) to get efficiency data?
Is it typical application that shows in page.34?

2)
I believe it is the data under no load of Vsys
Is my understanding correct?

Hello Yaita-san,

The efficiency data is taken using the bq2419xEVM which is similar to the application schematic on the datasheet, with the addition of the test points for evaluation purposes on the EVM. The voltage measurements are done as close as possible to the IC. There is no system load for the efficiency data on Figure 1.

Thank you for your kind support.

It seems recommended operating condition is 3.9～6V for bq24195/L EVM.
(User’s Guide page 3)

Is it possible to measure efficiency under VBUS=9V and VBUS=12V condition that is showed in Figure 1 for bq24195/L EVM?

Hello Yaita-san,

The bq24195L's operating range is 3.9V to 17V. I believe the min/max refer to the recommended operating conditions to cover the test procedure on the User's Guide, but you can test the device at higher voltages to fully evaluate the device.
