TPS65400: Current Sharing COMP Setting

Team,

The datasheet pin description for COMP2 and COMP4 states the line should be pulled up to VDDD for phase interleaving. However, the description later in the datasheet says to use a 4k to VDDA.

The EVM uses a 1k to VDDA. Is one method preferred over the other? If so, the description should be consistent in both sections of the datasheet. This is applicable to the TPS65400-Q1 datasheet also.

I think the resistor is used for limiting current, the 1k ohm ~10 kohm is ok.

Maybe the person of making EVM and writing datasheet is not same person, so the resistance is different.

Hi Zhao,

Thanks for the response. Do you think it is also OK to pull up to VDDD (rather than VDDA) as stated in the pin description? Or is this not recommended?

The digital and analog block power rail need to be separated each other.

I think it cannot pull up to VDDD, it is power supply for digital block, so VDDD rail has noise, if pull up to VDDD, it would affect analog block working.
