TLV62084: TLV62084 regulation

Part Number: TLV62084
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS62097, TPS62082, TLV62568

Hi,

We are using TLV62084 for 5V -3.3V voltage regulation. Please find the portion of the schematic attached. In our proto boards, I observe that I am getting 3.24V only.

I was wondering is it something to do with the feedback resistor tolerances or any other issue with the circuit or layout?

  • 3.24V is within the tolerance of the FB pin of the device. Additional variation is caused by the tolerance of the FB resistors, PCB layout, the measurement point of Vout, IR drop, etc.

The new TLV62568/9 offer a little bit better accuracy. Or the TPS62097 offers much better accuracy and more features. With the TPS62082, you can remove the inaccuracy of the FB resistors with a pin to pin IC.
