UCD3138: UCD3138 current share Document

Part Number: UCD3138

Hello.

We are considering UCD3138.
I have a question.
Do you have the following application notes or Document?
1 Analog bus current share.
2 PWM bus current share.
3 Master / slave current share.

Thank you.

  • Hi Masazumi, An AE will respond to your E2E question soon.
  • 3465.UCD31xx Current Sharing Application note.pdfHere's a preliminary guide to how to use the built-in hardware to assist current share.  It does support analog master and slave, and there is a PWM involved, so in some ways it answers all your questions, although I'm not sure what you mean by PWM current share.

  • Hello.

I have additional questions regarding UCC3138.

1 Please let me know the maximum parallel operation in each mode such as average current mode,
    master slave mode etc.
Is it possible to operate 12 units in parallel?

2 In average current mode, one unit operating in parallel will fail.
In this case, it seems that it can operate normally if the share bus is connected.
    Is this idea correct?

3 I want to realize parallel operation and redundant operation.
In this case, I think that master slave mode is the best.
    Is it OK?

4 Do I need to consider the total capacitance( total capacity on the circuit) on the external capacitor capacitor?
For example, 0.033 uF for one. 0.099 uF when 3 units in parallel, 0.396 uF in 12 units in parallel.
Is this way of thinking OK?

    thank ypu.
