BQ34Z100-G1: PWR111-revB bq34z1xx EVM

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100, , BQSTUDIO

Hello,

I have 2 EVM board for BQ34Z100, one with revA and an other with revB (the last bought).

Are there any HW differences between these two versions?
How do you know if the installed circuit is a BQ34Z100 version or a BQ34Z100-G1 version?
On both versions I have the same type of marking (without -G1 of specified)
I find that the documentation on the Texas site is not regularly updated enough, I only find documents in version A.
Thank you Thomas if you could give me a quick answer.
Best regards.

  • In the meantime I encounter a problem for the calibration of the voltage.
I followed step by step the procedure of the datasheet of the EVM but obviously it misses a lot of get out on your own ...
What a pity that every new circuit of this family IT is found to spend 10x the necessary time just because it lacks a bit of rigor in the explanations.
I have a NiMH battery in 12S and I have 15.10V, the measurement indicates 3.972mV, I am far from the count.
I however indicated 12 cells in series, set the VOLTSEL bit to 1 and then reset.
    In vain.
I have of course put the jumper on 16V.
If someone who has already rowed on the subject could tell me a little more I would really be grateful.
    Best regards.
  • Ok I found it all alone.
I reloaded the BQ34Z100-G1 app and the configuration file (my .gg file).
If the procedure is not followed in the correct order for VOLSEL, the software crashes for voltage measurement.
When I finish taking the lead with all this I will post a very detailed paper on the whole procedure, since there is none (SLUA597 is not sufficiently detailed and does not cover the particularities of NiMH and bqStudio parameters subleties) .
    Regards.
