Hi,

I am using bq34z100evm and ev2300 for observing SOC of the Panasonic 18650B battery (chem id 2046).

When i am selecting (right click on my battery chem ID), no window comes.

Also when I select the battery chem ID to update from Database, I get error like" chemistry programming failed"

Please help me out.

Have you unseal the gauge before programing the gauge ?

I dont know how to unseal the gauge.
Can you explain?

In the right position of bqstudio,
there is a command tab. sroll down to the bottom and click unseal botton.

Hi Terry,

I2C communication is only not taking place first of all.

So, any command I press on right side of bqstudio, i get "No acknowledgment from the device".

The EVM should first communicate and then further operations can take place.

Please check the above image "Left side". There is no communication between EV2300 and BQ34Z100EVM.

I think EVM is faulty and not working.

Please give your comment on working of the EVM.

Hi
you should make sure the hardware connection of the EVM is correct.
First, connect a battery or a power supply to the gauge
Then, configure all the jumpers on the EVM according to the user guide of the EVM
Try to connect EVM with bqstudio again by EV2400

Hi Terry,

I have properly connected battery to the gauge.

Jumpers are also configured as per my voltage levels.

I am using bqstudio (latest version) and EV2300 (EV2400 is dont have).

When I connect USB cable of EV2300 to PC, and later open BQstudio, there is no detection of device and everything in the window remains blurred (no I2C communication)
