BQ25100: Selecting the proper BQxxxxx charger

Hi,

Is there a TI charger that meets these three requirements: has DPM; OVP > 10V; and can charge at 10mA?

Hello Roger,

Take a look at the bq25120. It has a Vmax rating of 20V, DPM and charching current from 5-300mA.

Thank you David,

The BQ25120 is close, it has DPM and will charge at 10mA, but the input OVP = 5.5V, I need OVP >= 10V.

Hello Roger,

The bq24232 could be be an option. It has DPM, OVP of 10V, but 25mA min.

Hi David, I have a BQ24232 evaluation board, so I'll change the ISET resistor to give it a 10mA charge current and run some tests. Using the device outside its specifications is a problem, however, when it comes to production, so I'll continue to search for a device that meets the specs. Let me know if you have anything on the drawing board, I'm not opposed to designing in a future product if the timeline allows and the specs are there. Thank you, Roger
