I need to create a 0.7VDC to 24VDC output at 8Amps for a project I am working on. The web bench can give me both the 0.7V and 24V versions, but I need to be able to feed a control voltage into the feed back loop to get 0.7 to 24V out. I have done this before with the UC3843, but the reference is too high to get down to 0.7VDC out. Is there any way to get a web bench design for this or is it just a matter of starting with the evaluation board and playing with the values to make it work?

Hi,

Are you thinking of having the output voltage adjustable (programmable)?
Here is one part that we use to generate a control voltage to FB pin and it is based on current being feed to the FB node

The 6 bit DAC is not going to work since what I am really trying to control is the output of a proportional high voltage brick (0 - 1000VDC output from a 0 - 24VDC input) . I really need at least 12 bits, but would prefer 16 bits of resolution on the voltage control. Is there another PWM that TI might have that can go down to 0.6 or 0.7VDC output to a 24VDC input that has a normal voltage controlled feed back loop? Or is there a different DAC (possibly the DAC8811) that can give the 0 - 60 uA output needed for the LM3150 with 16 bits of resolution?
