TPS65217: Charger function

1.

When they need over 0.7A charging current ,they stop charging by this part and charge from another external charging IC.

In this case,please let us know how to do pin treatment of BAT,BAT_SENSE,TS of TPS65217.

"Charge voltege selection" is set to "4.10/4.15/4.20/4.25V" at CHGCONFIG2 D5-D4 in datahseet P47. 

If they need 4.40V Charge voltege,does this IC support? If yes,please let us know how to set 4.40V Charge voltege.

    1. My recommendation would be to test connecting BAT, BAT_SENSE, and TS normally to the TPS65217 and disabling charging via I2C when external IC is used for charging. If this does not produce the expected results, a load switch may be needed that is turned ON/OFF to connect battery to TPS65217 or external charging IC.

    A block diagram may help me propose a more specific solution.

    2. What you see available in the datasheet are the only options available for the Catalog release of TPS65217. Values not present in the datasheet are sometimes available in the OTP settings of the part, but this would be a Custom release and these requests are handled by the TI field sales teams. You can contact a TI field sales representative for more information.
