My customer is designing TPS65381-Q1 and has a question about DIAGNOSTIC State TIME OUT.

Could you please advise?

According to the datasheet P.73, DIAGNOSTIC State TIME-OUT is described 512ms(typ)/

I'd like to know minimum value.

(datasheet description)

DIAGNOSTIC State TIME-OUT: When DIAGNOSTIC state is entered, if the
DIAG_EXIT_MASK or DIAG_EXIT bit is not set to 1 within 512 ms (typical), the
DIAGNOSTIC state time-out interval expires, causing a transition to SAFE state.

Hi Shinichi,

If your customer will be using the new version of the device TPS65381A-Q1 please make sure you and they have downloaded the new datasheet for that device. It has many updates and clarifications to help user's understand the device operation more clearly. It is located at www.ti.com/.../tps65381a-q1 The updated datasheet for TPS65381-Q1 will be published to www.ti.com soon with these same updates.

For diagnostic time-out it is derived from the device's system clock so the tolerance would be +/- 5% so the minimum would be 486 ms.
