Hi Yesaiahu,
Welcome to E2E! I would recommend the LM5069 for reverse polarity protection. We have collateral on designing with back-to-back FET's for reverse polarity protection using the LM5069. Here's an app note discussing this more in detail: http://www.ti.com/lit/an/snva683/snva683.pdf.
We also created an EVM board (It's orderable as well) with waveforms and test results using this type of circuit topology. The user's guide can be found here: http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/slvuaa1/slvuaa1.pdf.
The product folder to order this EVM board can be found here: http://www.ti.com/tool/lm5069evm-627.
I'm not sure if you know about our easy to use nifty calculator tool for the LM5069. Please use our design calculator tool with this device (or any of our hotswap controllers in general) which will help review and troubleshoot your design, and would greatly speed up the back-forth communication of questions.
You can find it by going to www.ti.com/hotswap ==> click on “Tools & software” ==> then click on “Hot Swap design calculator tools”
For help on filling out the excel spreadsheet, we have video tutorials. They explain how to enter the correct values cell by cell. Please watch these videos at www.ti.com/hotswap ==> Click on “Support & Training” tab.
Best Regards,
Aramis P. Alvarez
