TPS54233: Startup problem

hi,

We found the startup problem with the TPS54233 on the customer board. However, when there is a dummy load of 100 Ohm added at output rail, the startup is ok. Why?

    Hi Brain,

    How many boards or devices you have tried and what's the failure rate?

    you said this issue could be solved by adding dummy load. have you tried a very big value resistor, what's the biggest resistance that could solve this issue? i guess the leakage current cause this phenomenon, but a 100ohm dummy resistor is too big. So need you double check the minimum loading.

    Test on 54233EVM, did you use the feedback resistance and the same diode, device? different components may consume different current.
