LMZ21701: Clarification on absolute minimum switching frequency in PSM

Hello Aaron,

The minimum switching frequency will depend on the VIN and VOUT condition and the standby load. It will be much lower than 1MHz.
Once the part enters PSM mode, the frequency will keep reducing as the load decreases. This results in substantial power savings (high efficiency) at the light load condition.

What is the VIN range, VOUT, and standby load conditions you are considering? We can provide you with a plot.

Thanks for the quick response. We expect a 5V input and 1V output from 10mA to 1A. Is the plot simulated or a bench readout?
