bq35100: How to get the chemID of LiSOCl2 primary cell and optimized the R table

Part Number: BQ35100

Firstly, we use 5 LiSOCl2 in parallel to extent the capacity. Do we need to get the rel discharge-rel data from manufacturer to  match a ID like Li-ion battery?

Do we need to get the low temp / high temp rel-dis-rel data to optimize low temp performance?

Then How to Ra table learning for it?

Secondly, what is the purpose for gauge start and stop cmd?  what is the result calculated when gauge start?  Does gauge still accumulate column when gauge stop?

I saw someone said:

“What you should do is apply a discharge load then issue gauge start then remove load and let cell relax. This will update your measured Z correctly. ”

But in a real system, we cannot predict the load profile. It is a random case.  what is the meaning for cell relax? is there any spec current for lower than a value?

THanks !

  • Hi I am facing the same problem regarding parallel batteries, can BQ35100 be used with parallel batteries without any additional circuitry or configuration, also in my case both batteries are not physically connected (or thermally connected) how can we cater for it.
