Is there a way to force-on or enable boost mode when there is NO SUPPLY connected to this device?

It cannot support this application naturally because the loop regulation is based on the input source current (a voltage across ACP and ACN). If there is no enough voltage across ACP and ACN, charger would think the system load doesn't need turbo mode.

If you have to do it, you have to meet the following conditions:

1. a voltage across ACP and ACN which is higher than input current limit setting

2. a voltage source on Vsys that can absorb any extra boosting back energy from the battery; also avoid sleep (VCC to BAT) comparator and make ACDET>2.4V

Thanks, I suspected this was the case, as the adapter would be setting the voltage on the bus and there is no way to regulate the bus voltage w/o the adapter.
