LP5912DRV33EVM: ENABLE PIN CONTROL FOR LDO CONTROL(On/Off)

Part Number: LP5912DRV33EVM

Hello All,

We are working on Battery based one project.

we have LDO of : LP5912-3.3DRVT and we control through mcu.

According datasheet specification:

EN Pin: Input of its IC

Controlling : HIGH (LDO Enable and output is Vcc)

LOW (LDO disable and output is 0 V)

Our Scenario:

-> Mcu outpin connected to En pin of LDO IC

-> We detect battery voltage and give output according battery status.

at battery off voltage we give logic low to LDO

otherwise we give logic HIGH

But, mcu not on.

I have doubt , so how can i control it.

Have you any reference so please share us.

Thanks & Regards

  • Hi Chintan,

I am a little confused about your question. Would you be able to send a schematic of your application?

To enable our LDO you have to drive the EN pin above the logic threshold VEN(ON) = 1.3V. Once the enable pin is above this voltage the output of the LDO will turn on. One thing to keep in mind is that this LDO has a pulldown resistor on the enable pin. So, if your MCU is not actively driving the EN pin of the LDO the LDO will be off. If you decide that the MCU will not work another way to EN the LDO based on the voltage of the battery voltage would be with a supervisor, you can find more on our supervisors here:
