Hi,

I am starting a new BMS design which is using BQ40Z50RSMR-R1 device. For the project, my customer asked:

For UL-2054, one of the 4 cells will be inserted into the pack with its polarity reversed, will the board pass UL-2054?

Could you please help me to know whether the board can pass the testing and how?

hi Joy,
I do not believe the IC has reverse battery polarity protection. The data has the abs max as for negative polarity as -0.3V.
