Hi,

I 'd like to create a new design most likely based upon the Lm25117-Q1 buck converter.

my requirements for the circuits are:

having 7 to 32V DC input voltage

output should be adjustable within the range of 3V to 30V DC were having around upto 4A @30V

is that realistically to achieve?

if not what's recommendable instead?

Will the input voltage always be higher than the output voltage? Generally fo wide range of Vout adjustment, I would recommend a voltage mode control device such as TPS40170.

If the output will be more than the input, I think you need a buck-boost IC, such as LM5175

Hello,

Do you require Vou>Vin at times? If so, I recommend using the LM5176. If Vout<Vin, always, then I would use Webench with Vin = 32V and Vout = 30V @ 4A and use this design as a starting point. To adjust the output voltage you can use a device such as the LM10011 to adjust vout to your needs? Hope this helps?
