Hello Sir,

In me new project, it need a battery backup like ups. I am planning to use 2400mAh Li-ion Battery.

2A load will come after this battery(at 5v).

Can you suggest a best and cheap solution.

Can I get a bit more information about your application:

1. Charge current
2. Termination Current
3. Input Voltage range
4. Power path or no power path
5. Stand-alone or i2c?
6. When 5V is applied, the load is 2A. If the battery backup is engaged, will the load remain 2A?

Hello Jeff,
1. Charge current - 2A
2. Termination Current - 200mA
3. Input Voltage range - 5v
4. Power path or no power path - powerpath (ups like operation expecting)
5. Stand-alone or i2c? - stand alone
6. When 5V is applied, the load is 2A. If the battery backup is engaged, will the load remain 2A? -2A

I recommend looking at the bq25606 stand alone charger. It can be configured for up to 3-A charging.
