BQ24780SEVM-583: Connecting to BQ24780SEVM-583 through I2C

Also, you can order an EV2400 and run the bqstudio program to communicate with bq24780S.

If I read the documentation and it should work. 

low = 0.3V
High = 3V3

The waveform looks the same
Address is 0x12.

What do I miss. 

I am not sure. Would you reduce the pull-up resistor from 10kohm to 3.3kohm? Sometime, the rising or falling edge noise may make the charger to get one more extra clock.

Also, can you order EV2400 box? And then, you can compare TI GUI communication waveform with your communication waveform.

I changed the pull up resistor to 3k3 but no luck on that part.

I can't order at the moment a EV2400. The aardvark supports SMBUS, so it should work. I checked the timings and it is correct. I probably missing a small thing but I can't find it.

That is the SMBus standard. The lowest bit is used for deciding "Write" or "Read".

I understand, it is the same with i2c. But still the address is 0b0001001 instead of 0b00010010 like in the data sheet.

When you want to write to the adres you will not writing to 0x12 but to 0x13. So 0x12 and 0x13 are not the address. The adres is 0x09 and you will add a r/w bit to get it work.
