TPS65263-Q1: Boost resistor and V7V capacitance

Part Number: TPS65263-Q1

Hi team,

1. I would like to know if I can use Boost resistor(R1) below to reduce switch node ringing?

If yes, is there maximum value guide line?

Figure.42 in datasheet page 29

2. Is there maximum value for V7V bypass capacitance?

The datasheet said it should be 1uF, but 10uF is on my customer's schematic.

regards,

  • Hi,

    1. Yes, add R1 can slow down the high side DRV turn on speed, it can reduce SW ring peak voltage.
For TPS65263-Q1, suggest to use BST resistor=2.2ohm, 3.3ohm, and so on, the MAX value <10ohm.

    2. Not recommand to use 10uF for V7V bypass capacitor.
    Suggest to use 1uF, 2.2uF, 3.3uF.
