TPS65400: TPS65400 sequnecing SW1, SW2, SW3 - SW4 independent Standby rail

Part Number: TPS65400

I'd like to configure the TPS65400 with following intialisation start up sequence.

Start-up sequence:  - SW1(off _to_on -5V) >>  SW2(off _to_on - (3V3) >>  SW3(off _to_on -1V2).

Shut down sequnece SW3(on_to_off-1V2) >> SW2(on_to_off- 3V3) >> SW1(on_to_off- 5V)

SW4 (5V standby) = allways ON following power ON (Vin = 12V).  Please  confirm if this is an acceptable configuration.

Also, can I use SSx/PGx to control the sequence as the default. and overide EEPROM configuration.

SW1 = 5V standby (ENSW4 controlled by external logic)  >>> PG4 to ENSW1.  PG1 to ENSW2  and PG2 to ENSW3.

  • Hi,

    1. Yes, the TPS65400 can achieve this start up and shut down sequence.

    2. Yes, you can also use PGx to control sequence.

    "SW1 = 5V standby (ENSW4 controlled by external logic)  >>> PG4 to ENSW1.  PG1 to ENSW2  and PG2 to ENSW3." it is ok.
