LM9061: alternatives for bidirectional switch applications

Part Number: LM9061
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5060

Hello,
Our application needs driving  bidirectional N-Fet switch at high side of load, so the load can be disconnected at any time. (like in Figure 22 at LM9061 datasheet at page 23)

The closest solutions I've found are LM9061 and MIC5060 from Micrel, which provide bootstraping of FET gate-source voltage.
Could you advice any alternatives?

Key factors are:

1) The maximum voltage in system is 18V.

2) smaller package,  (preferrably SOT-23-6)

3)  smaller turn-off time preferrable

  • Hi,

The LM5060 would be a cheaper alternative than the LM9061 and offers better specs/performance.

The LM9061 has been on the market for over 20 years (released in 1995), so it is not utilizing the latest technology for cost reductions.

    Thanks,

    Alex
