Bq34110: Grounding

Hi,

I am trying to build the Battery Level Sensor usinng BQ34110. I an referring the EVM schematic from the Data Sheet of the BQ34110, Pg. 14. I have certain Questions.

1. Where is the Vcc or Supply pin to the IC.

2. BAT stands for Battery, whats the PACK stands for?? Is it the load to be connected

3. In the J7 block of the schematic, why the PACK+ is absent ?

4. Does the BAT and PACK (Load) have the same ground?

5. If ground of battery and load are different then how could we make connections for common ground systems i.e.. Battery, load1, micro controller.. Etc

-Regin is the supply to the lDO that powers the IC.
- Bat is for measuring the battery voltage. Pack is where you connect your charger or load.
- PAck+ and Bat+ are the same node.
-No they don't have the same ground otherwise you will be shorting the current sense resistor.
-load and MCU ground should be connected to pack-. Battery ground should be connected to bat-
