TPS54200: How to test a charger without using a battery?

Hello all,

My question is rather a practical one. I'm developing a battery charger using a TPS54200 but I have no ways to test it. I've been using the battery emulator (www.ti.com/.../slva618.pdf) but this is rather a Bq tester than an actual battery emulator, since the charging does not change with the sinking current provided by the charger.

How do you test your chargers without using an actual Li-ion battery? Is there any kind of battery emulation circuit?

Hello Patrick,
There are certainly commercial battery emulator products such as Keithley 2302 and 2306.
You might also refer to info provided in blogs, such as the following. You aren't the only engineer faced with testing the performance of a charger circuit.
