TPS610981: TPS610981 the simplest application

Part Number: TPS610981

Dear TI Team,

could you tell me please is it allowable to remove Co2 when LDO in not used in my design? Is there any risk that LDO start to oscillate and current consumption increase? Second thing is an RC circuit connected to VIN pin. Can I remove it and connect VIN pin directly to Cbat? Input source is a 3V lithium battery, which is directly connected to Cbat. Could you tell me please what difference in transient response (for 0-30mA step) and ripple for MODE pin H and L is expected. Thank you for help.

Regards,

Robert

  • if there is no other load connected to the battery, and the VIN is always lower than VOUT, you can remove the filter of the VIN pin. the Co2 can be removed if the MODE is always low. about the load transient, you can refer to Figure 51 and Figure 52 of the datasheet.
