we are using BQ76920 as a salve and ATtiny24a as a master. The communication between master and slave is fine but its found that the the ALERT pin continuous keep high by itself. The pull down resister is 1M ohm and 1uf capacitor has been used.
also we clear the associate resister for alert pin inside the BQ76920.

The 1-s time constant on ALERT is too long. Approximately 500 us after ALERT is cleared it will begin checking for ALERT high for the ALERT Override event. The ALERT pin must be below VALERT_IH minimum or the OVRD_ALERT status will be set and the ALERT pin will be driven back high. The time constant on the ALERT pin should be less than approximately 250 us. The waveform below shows the ALERT signal after clear with a large time constant. For your 1M pull down selecting a capacitor less than 250pf may be a good choice.
