LP5560: Standalone LED driver with blinking feature

Part Number: LP5560
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP5562, LP55231, LP5523

Hi TI Experts,

I have a customer that would develop a string of LED strobe as indicator (blinking) for automotive .

They does not want to use any 555 timer or MCU (for PWM signal control) if possible.

I came across this part LP5560.

From the datasheet, it mentioned that it has default blinking sequence without any ctrl signal feedback externally.

It is true? Does it mean they just need to power up the led driver and obtain a default blinking pattern?

Is there any other LED driver recommendation beside LP5560?

I came across many LED driver that need external PWM signal for blinking and dimming.

Thanks,

Br,

  • Hi Wangjian,
It is ture, you can use the default blinking.
Or you can try the engine control device. LP5562,LP5523,LP55231.
You just the upload the program to the device with the desired pattern, then sleep the MCU.
The device can generate the complicatied pattern automonus.
Any more question please let me know, thanks!
