Low noise LDO required for MAX31865

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP5907

I need a low noise regulator suitable for powering up MAX31865.

It is used for measuring PT100.

Input is +5vdc.

  • Can you give us some more information on the noise spec that is required? Can you also provide the output current required for your application?

We have several low noise LDOs that can be used from 5V to 3.3V ; however the recommended part will vary depending on the noise requirements and output current.

    Best Regards,
    Mark
  • Hi,
Only Max31865 is powered by LDO, for rest everything there is separte +5V supply. So current requirement is to run Max IC only.
I dont have much knowledge of noise spec at the moment. May be u can guide in this matter.

One thing we have noticed when we run the current Max31865 from SMPS where ac main is 220V/50Hz, we have noise in the reading, even if we keep the notch filter inside Max31865 at 50hz on.
But as soon as we run it on dc battery, we have stable reading.
    Please suggest
  • Hi,

After looking at the datasheet I would recommend that you use the LP5907, but if you would like to look at other LDOs we have you can look at this link:
