Hi Team,

I am trying to use GDK for learning cycle of BQ28z610 along with evaluation module of Bq28z610. I made hardware connection as described in User Manual of GDK.Please refer to attached image GDK plugin is showing correct battery voltage but BQ28z610 plugin is showing wrong battery voltage. Due to this difference, i couldn't able to discharge my baattery using taper voltage

Hi,

You may have to calibrate the battery voltage in the Calibration tab.

In addition, you will want to make sure your bq28z610 is configured correctly for 1s. refer to the EVM user guide on how to do this.

Hi Nabil,

I tried to calibrate voltage, but I am getting an error something like battery voltage entered is is out of range, I tried to enter 3320mV.

Also can you please tell me if it is necessary to upgrade firmware of GDK as mentioned on the webpage of GDK.

I am sure whole DA etting was set as 0X00. I will reconfirm it .

Hi Nabil and Onyx,

Thanks for your support, one tack got damaged between JP2.2 and TP9 hence battery voltage is not reaching at VC1. After shorting that trace everything fixed.. But even though connection between VC1 and JP2 of EVM is not there still i can see 1.2 Volts.

Now i am performing learning cycle again but i observed that RDIS bit is always set and VOK is never getting set. Is it correct behavior ?

Rdis gets set if the reset command is sent. pls follow the app note instructions below to prevent the gauge from setting the rup dis flag it self.
