Hi

during the test bq25606 EVM, I find the sensing resistor's place is not good.

because the old resistor put in the high-voltage bus, like the picture.

when I do the test, I find the voltage probes don't have the same GND. it is difficult for testing.

I have a advice.

when you draw the layout, you could put the sensing resistor in the GND bus. like the picture. Do I think right?

    During testing, we use high side sense resistors to sense current and we do not see a problem.

    How are you doing the differential measurement across the sense resistors?

    In regards to your second layout, it can be done, but you will have offsets between charger ground and all other grounds (meaning no shared common ground between devices). This may not be a problem unless we consider earth ground at some point.

    Thanks for your reply. I think you are right. As my second layout, there will be a offsets between charger ground and all other grounds.

    When I do the experiment, because the three resistors don’t have the same voltage point, I must use the differential probe to test the three currents at the same time.
    As the second layout, I could test the three voltages using normal differential probe.
