EMB1428Q: What does FAULT CODE 0x7h means?

Part Number: EMB1428Q

Hi,

My customer told me occasionally the FAULT code they read back from EMB1428Q is 0x7h. However I cannot find such kind of FAULT code in datasheet. Is there possibility for EMB1428Q to generate this FAULT code? what it means?

Hi John,

I do not believe this is possible. For the EMB1428Q to report 0x7, it would be the first condition of the table (an EMB1499 fault). The fault[2:0] pins from the EMB1499 would have to be [111], which is not a valid combination from the EMB1499 datasheet.

Is it possible the endian convention they are using is wrong? For example, the EMB1499 reports 1110 (a valid error), but the MCU reads in 0111?
