LM5021: LM5021-1 overload detection problem

Part Number: LM5021

Dear All,

I am using LM5021-1 controller in  dis-continuous mode fly-back converter(Max duty cycle is 20%) .  I observed that there is a problem in detecting over load.  When voltage on COMP is 2.72V and  CS  pin voltage is 872mV,peak(OCP is 500mv), controller gate pulses are not tripping.    In order see this effect clearly, I increased  load, when voltage on COMP is >4.6, pulses are turned off .  In this case voltage on CS pin is 972mV.  Over current protection(500mV) is not operating at all.  It is detecting overload/short circuit  from COMP pin voltage only.

I  thought solution to this problem is  increase current resistor but power losses are increasing.   Can someone help me?

Thanks and Regards,

Raju B
