TPS386000: Interpretation datasheet Figure 3

Part Number: TPS386000

Hello

We are using the TPS386000 and have a question to the datasheet: there seems to be an error in figure 3.

In addition we would like to have a confirmation for the worst case limit values of the threshold under consideration of the hysteresis.

  1. Can you confirm that the values marked in blue in the figure below are 414mV and 396mV? Off course these two values cannot appear “at the same time”, as in the case of 414mV, Vitn must be 404mV and cannot be 396mV, on the other hand, if Vitn is 396mV, Vitn+Vhysn can be 406mV at most and not 414mV.
  2. Can you confirm that the text marked in red points to an error in the figure and that in that right part of the curve the hysteresis was simply forgotten or neglected?

Thanks for your help and kind regards,

Ueli

  • Ueli,

    Your understanding is perfect.

    1. Yes. These limits are correct and your understanding is also correct.

    2. Yes, Figure 3 should have the V_HYSN on the rising edge as describe by V_HYSN spec in Table 6.5.

Thank you for pointing out the error in Figure 3, we will work with our datasheet team to get this corrected asap.
