WEBENCH® Tools/LM27403: LM27403

Part Number: LM27403

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hello,

We want to use the LM27403 in our battery powered design, the WEBENCH assumes an efficiency of over 95%.

Since we only expecting loads below 1A, current sensing is not necessary. My question is, how to

deal with CS+/CS- and D+/D- if current sensing can be discarded.

OTP is pulled to ground.

  • Andreas,
In general its not a good idea to disable current limit for safety reasons.
In case you decide to do it then you can connect D+,D- to GND and CS+ to Vout. Would recommend leaving Riset from Vout to CS-.
You could also leave the component as options to install in case OCP is needed to be added later.

    Regards,
    Mathew
  • Hello Mathew,

thank you for the quick reply; we considered to make the OCP part "not mount", and even though

D- would remain grounded (as you recommend), D+ and CS+/CS- would be floating / not connected as you recommend
