Can I use the Vcc pin to supply 2mA to an external op-amp? It will save me having to add an automotive linear regulator to the design, and I'm already short of space.

Sure, as long as there is spare after what is required to drive the FET (Fsw*Qg). Just keep the two less than the min VCC current limit.
