Hi guys

I'm going to use the bq24780 in my design. Now I try to understand general functional features of this IC. And I've found a reference schematic diagram for evaluation module BQ24780EVM that containts a stage with Q7, R5, R6. I can not understand functionality of this mosfet. Can you explain it to me?
