TPS2410: Radiation from Orinf IC

Hi All,

I am using TPS2410 Oring IC in one of my product to Oring of two 12V PWR rails.

Oring is working good, but found Radiated Emissions on the top of the Ic.

I have powered off all other PWR line in my device and powered only Oring ic in the Board ,But still the emission is coming.

Please refer the below Schematic and Emission waveform .

I couldn't open an attachment. The TPS2410 has a charge pump that I believe is ~ 1MHz. It would possibly emit a very small EMI signature, very low power level. The charge pump is necessary to use an N-channel FET for the ORing operation. I assume you are using a 'sniffer' to detect. You should be able to confirm the fundamental freq and odd harmonics, if present. At 10M, I would think it would be undetectable.

Emission measured on top of the Oring IC using near field probe.We go the harmonic of 17Mhz to 18Mhz

The charge pump is actually ~ 8-10MHz, so 18Mhz harmonics sound about right. Emissions are very low. Thanks for the information, was very interesting to see!
