Hi.

I'm looking for a power mux that can handle two inputs automatic switching:

1. 4.5 - 17V, 4A max (adapter).

2. 3 - 4.2V, 4A max (Battery).

The output should follow on the higher voltage input.

The output Current should be 4A max.

Can you please provide a suitable integrated solution?

Thanks for the quick and informative feedback.
As to my understanding, I should use two TPS25942 as layed out in the app note?
This would work seamlessly with adpapter and BATT connected in parallel?

Hi Gilad,

As long as only one supply is active at one time (battery or adapter), then this solution would work. Depending on the configuration and output capacitance, this could be configured to be a seamless solution.

Hi Alex.
My design requires that both power sources will be connected at the same time, but only the one with higher voltage value to be outputed. Can you please recommend on a different solution?

Hi Gilad,

As long as the same supply is the "high" supply then this configuration will work.
