EV2300 and Windows 7

Thanks for your reply, I am running 32-bit win7, however when I try to download the file (whilst logged in to E2E) I get the following message:

Server Error

403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

Is it possible you could e-mail me the file?

I managed to download the attachment, thank you.  However the drivers still do not install correctly (windows times out during driver install) and the EV2300 is not recognised by the evm software.

The first driver 'TI USB Firmware Updater' installed correctly (windows reports 'Ready to use').  I have tried manually extracting the installer contents to install the drivers, but that did not work either.

The bqEVSW reports: "The EV2300 connection could not be initiated".  Then "No USB board was detested!"

Does the evm software support the MCC iPort/USB adapter?  (http://www.mcc-us.com/MIIC-204-DS.htm)  I am sure I read somewhere that MCC were going to be supported by the bqEVSW.

Also no luck here with Windows7 64-bit.  You know I was shopping for a new PC yesterday, and only saw refurbished PCs with XP.  All new PCs had Win7 with 64 bit, even if they did not really need the 64-bit version.  Seems like 64-bit is the way things are headed, and very quickly.  Would really like to see the 64-bit drivers soon.

I have learned that the ev2400 updated communciations interface will be able to support windows 7 64 bit version.  This will be available mid 2011.

I tried to get EV2300 running (for bq33100) on win7 64-bit... and it works, drivers seems to install etc. i dont have any evidence for that but for sure it did work.

I dont know what i did, but it had something to do trying to get it running under vmware virtual xp.

First, it didnt work on neither win7 nor vmware. Then it just started to work under win7, but not under vmware.

Today, i tried again.. Does not work in win7, but now it runs under vmware, uh.

EV2400 is now available for purchase.  Finding the drivers is proving to be difficult.

Does anybody know for sure exactly which driver(s) I need to install in order that the EV2300 will talk to "EV2200-60" PC Software Utility through it's expected USB UART interface, instead of the only drivers that I have found actually recognising the EV2300 only as an HID in Device Manager? Having got passed the above Win7-64bit driver issue I've tried the different drivers independently on both XP and Win7, with no noticeable difference, it still feels like a new driver issue. 

Strangely the EV2300 which I've only ever seen recognised as only an HID does seam to be recognised by "bq SingleStation Tester", "bq Tester ROM Imager" and "bqReadWriteDQ" PC Software utilities installed only on the Win7 PC. Is it  possible the firmware in the EV2300's TUSB3410 needs to be swapped for use with "EV2200-60", if so how? These other bits of PC Software were NOT installed on the XP machine, so it shouldn't be the case that any other hidden HID driver supplied with them is getting in the way of the XP test. I even tried installing the TUSB3410 USB-UART driver and disabling the HID driver in Device Manager, with no success. Any ideas?

Solved my own issue, having found this statement on the forum that explains why it won't connect.

It would appear the only Software support for BQ2060-A is for the older EV2200 UART based hardware tool.
